Hack2Own (H2O) is a hands-on cybersecurity learning platform for aspiring penetration testers. Content is organised into modules, and each module exists at four depths — L0 through L3. The L0 surface is free forever, and the deeper levels align to industry certifications.

L0 (Noob) is the free surface introduction. L1 (Apprentice) is CEH-aligned theory with lifetime access for a one-time fee. L2 (Professional) adds hosted, hands-on labs and targets the eJPT. L3 (Expert) is advanced labs built around OSCP-level rigour.

Yes — completely. Every module's L0 content is permanently free and needs no account. It's a genuine introduction to the topic, not a locked teaser. We only ask you to sign up when you choose to go deeper into L1, L2, or L3.

Yes. Every module page includes a bundle that unlocks all of that module's levels à la carte — perfect if you only need one specific topic rather than the whole platform. The full subscription works out cheaper per-module the deeper you go.

None for L0 — it's written for complete beginners. Comfort with a computer and curiosity are enough. By the time you reach L2 and L3 you'll want to be comfortable on the Linux command line, which the earlier levels help you build.

Each level is mapped to one of these benchmarks: CEH at L1, eJPT at L2, and OSCP at L3. No course can guarantee a certification pass, but the curriculum, labs, and reporting focus are built to match the practical demands of each exam.

Penetration testing is legal only when you have explicit, written authorisation for the systems you're testing. Hack2Own teaches offensive security strictly for authorised, ethical testing — practised on lab environments you own or control. We build this legal and ethical mindset in from L0, because skills without ethics are a liability to you and others.

Hosted labs are part of L2 and L3 and run on the full Hack2Own platform (separate from this free L0 site). When you sign up for a lab tier, you'll get access details there. L0 and L1 are reading-based and need no lab access.
